Essential oils are concentrated oils that have been extracted from plants. They are called essential because they contain the “essence” of the plant. On average, these oils are 75 times more powerful than the plant. Essential oils have been used throughout history as medicine and as tools of relaxation. They are now used in aromatherapy, massage oils, perfumes, bath oils, and even edible items like toothpaste (make sure to use food safe oils). Essential oils can even be used as a more natural form of pesticide.
Note: 90% of the time, you need to dilute the essential oil with a carrier oil (coconut oil, hemp oil, etc.).
